The Australian Jewish News, 14 December 1945⁩, has a detailed account about Eisenhower’s tour of Feldafing and his meeting with the Klausenberger Rebbe. You can find it in the Sefriya Leumi’s website. (Of course none of what’s described above actually happen – the Klausenberger Rebbe wasn’t the Rabbi to give a speech, he just presented bread and salt to the general as per the old minhag).
