There is no such thing as “jewish sounding” music. The music that you think sounds jewish also sounds exactly the same like goyish/russian/eastern european non-jewish music of the prior century. in other words, jewish music always imitated non-jewish music because ALL music imitates other music. the clearest proof of this is that if you ask a 75 year old iraqi jew what non-jewish music sounds like he will point to the western sounds of ashekanzi music of 1900s. If you ask a 75 year old Ashkenazi jew what non-jewish music sounds like he will point to the mizrahi sounds of the iraqi jew.
