The only source I found for your proposition is Sefer Sevoras HaBeten, which I do not follow, as it gives me indigestion. There is also a discussion in Droshas Shelo Nitnu l’Moshe miSinai but it is inconclusive about your position. Finally, Chidshei Atzmi seems to agree with you, but I hold differently.
