Michal gave dovid very strong tochacha for uncovering his ANKLES and the only reason she was wrong is because he was doing it for kavod shomayim. If thats how dispicable it was then, you can rest assured that his great-grandmother wasn’t walking around with bare calves even if it meant she wasn’t going to be the most comfortable person in the world. I’m sure she found away to cover herself without stockings (maybe she used fig leaves).
