Isn’t it sad that he has to prove that this isn’t a new concept, but rather it already existed in Europe. It’s such a phoney revisionist claim. Barely anyone in Europe learned in Yeshivas. And also even today most adults work. It’s probably a single digit percentage of American men who are in their 30’s or 40’s who are still learning. All of a sudden todays system of exclusively learning forever is really part of a mesorah of hundreds of years! Come on, this is ridiculous.
