Thanks a bunch for this recipe! Question, which type of apples would you suggest with this recipe, and should they be hard or softer (sorry for my ignorance, but I have never made a cake like this before)? I wanted to send my father something for the holidays, and his favorite cake happens to be the apple cake, and this one sounds delicious. I’ll let you know how it turns out.
