There is nothing wrong with someone learning full time, as long as it does not put a strain on anyone or anything. If the wife has to work three jobs while running the household, if the in laws have to dig into their retirement savings, if the government has to dole out food stamps, hud, welfare, wic which drains resources from those who truly need it but aren’t able to earn a decent wages, if any of those situations apply, learning full time is not appropriate in my opinion. I highly doubt hashem is sitting on his thrown, looking down at the married buchor and saying ” that’s my boy” as his wife struggles to put food on the table.
