This is an off-topic hijack, but your post made me wonder about something. I once worked for a telephone utility in a management (that is, non-union) position. We were told that in the event of a CWA (Communication Workers of America) strike, we would be expected to take over the unionized workers jobs until the strike was settled (depending on our training, jobs such as line repair or customer service). Is there a similar expectation at Con Ed?
