Hashem didn’t wait till the middle of the day to create the creation of that particular day. Therefore, to my understanding, from 12:01 AM, (Tuesday night, early Wednesday morn) Hashem began the creation of the sun etc. Therefore we wait till Wednesday morning when the sun is in full view.
