ah! exactly what i’ve been saying forever. if you follow that logic then davening from the heart gets through the gates and is worth a whole lot. and davening without? does not equal the gematria of bechi and does not get through the gates. in other words: it’s worthless unless you either cry or at least daven from your heart. davening out of rote means nothing – not to you and not to god.
