ok guys. wow. i just came home and i come here and all i here is yelling at me! ybns and fb, i am sorry if i came across sounding like an ostrich and btw, i dont think it was too nice to have to explicitly write out my posts again just to get your point across.
and you know what oomis? your right that i should probably be disagreeing with you but how can i if you didnt even read the story? also i understand that if pple have diff hashkafos they tend to feel diff about certain issues. the thing that is bothering me is that such a sad story really which no one should ever have to know from is written in a magazine like this. and everyone is yelling that you would rather youre kids know about it now and not be an ostrich and all. right? but if you would think for a few seconds and say hey! you know i wouldnt read this type of story to my kid. i wouldnt really want my 11 year old daughter reading this type of material.EVEN IF SHE WILL FIND OUT ABOUT IT LATER and yes fb, im using caps to emphasize. would you want your 11 year old daughter reading about drug addicts and abuse… in order that she will know about it because its in our faces and theres no reason why she should “bury her head in the sand” come on. and you know what, i guesss if you dont agree than maybe you are right that if pple have diff hashkafos the will look at things at a diff perspective.
just explain to me why you think that such a story should be in its form as is.
i am sorry if my explanation doesnt satisfy you. tell me if it doesnt and why.
