I don’t agree, mybat, that the generations are getting lower. The move to the right has been in greater numbers than ever before in the last 100 years. More boys AND girls are learning in Yeshivah from the time they enter nursery school. Unprecedented numbers of high school graduates are going to learn for more than one year in E”Y, and most of the boys continue at least half (if not most of)a day in Beis Medrash. There are more kollel boys than ever before, and a substantial number of them comes from homes that would be considered more modern. I feel the generations have gotten to a madreiga that is anything BUT lower. Yes, there are problems, but there have ALWAYS been problems from the times of the Avos and Emahos.
