No, I didn’t know her mother was frei, like the rest of her family. (They don’t live together.) So I didn’t ask – who will contibute to the financial support. I assumed because they agreed to have such a guy, that I would be supported. The shadchan who’s my relative knew that I wanted to learn (or should have known) and I figuered if noone was going to contribute, I would have been informed. I wasn’t looking for a set amount. I was young and naive and I trusted my relatives. BTW, another relative is the reason of my break-up (from my other parent’s side).
