PY, you’re not defining OTD the same way most people do. What happened was, at some point someone made the decision to go OTD, due to many factors, such as weak education, crushing financial pressures, allure of the outside world, everything you said, and permutations of these factors. You can’t really call the mass number of Jews today anything but tinokos shenishbu.
