Jewish music stopped being Jewish when Shlomo Carlebach was niftar. Ok that may be a bit of an extreme view but I think you all get what I mean, his music was pure and from the soul, he didnt need to copy the non Jewish styles.

There are a few others who still have a Jewish taam, like Baruch Levine for example.
