How about the good old fashioned way of a beshow? Boy and his parents go to the girl’s house. Boy and girl go off to the living room for an hour or so and talk. Parents discuss financial stuff. After an hour the girl’s father brings them back in. Maybe repeated one more night. Then you make a l’chaim. No stress of where to go.
