I don’t recall any of my Rebbeim serving us alchohol at their homes when I was a Bochur. I guess it’s the Rebbi’s choice – if he wants to have 25 intoxicated Bochurim on a Friday night in his home or not… I think most of the Rebbeim’s wives have enough on Purim dealing with their husband’s drunk Talmidim…
