You people are missing the point.
@A23-if you were in Salem, then that would automatically be in-town, because you are in that town! It has nothing to do with the size of the population.
@the goq- It would be one thing if I was a hick from the boonies, but I am from one of the largest cities in the US and I’ve been asked from NYers if there were a lot of farms in my town! And the Mets?! I think you’re experiencing Stockholm syndrome.
@boredstiff, gavra and dunno- I like the mindset, can’t stand the terminology and the underlying arrogance.
@bpt- If that was true I guess it would make sense but I doubt it because I think that it’s a relatively new term. Also I lived in NY for some years and I understand, I just dislike it.
