Over the years, Ive heard from many people who divorced, years after their divorce, that it all started with nonsensical things and escalated to serious things once the anger and resentment got rolling and this emboldened both sides to hate one another.

This is definitely not the case with all divorces, because some result from serious problems that dont have a solution. But for those where it does apply and there are children involved (big factor), the consequences are tragic.
