What I personally find EXTREMELY funny is (because of the difference in pronunciation of that letter) when people either…
– want to show how “Israeli” or “Zionist” they are, and therefore speak ‘SefardiT’, – will take a word that has a ‘samech’ or a ‘sin’ in it, and (because they can’t spell) pronounce THAT letter with a T sound! (i.e. turn ALL S’s to T’s)
OR CONVERSELY…
-Those who want to show they are strictly Ashkenazi (and/or anti-Zionist) will do the opposite, and (because THEY can’t spell) pronounce words with the letter ‘tet/tes’ with an ‘S’ sound!
