I would imagine that you’ve already had a heart to heart talk with your mother and explained to her your reasons. What did she answer? Why arent your reasons for waiting valid in her eyes? You’ll have plenty of opportunities to date in a year or two.
Try taking up the issue with someone whose advice she takes and who she looks up to. Maybe they can have a talk with her.
