I dropped yeshivish pronunciation, mainly the “choylem” because it is incorrect. Secondarily, it also identifies me as part of a community to which I no longer belong. When learning I still use words like “tzu-shtell” “in hachi nami” and “chalois” because every discipline has it’s technical jargon and a good part of the yeshivishe shprach is the technical terminology of Torah, but I don’t put it into everyday conversation.
My screen name is just a yiddishization of my real name. Just a little (no longer) private joke.
