Cooperstown, NY is on Ostego Lake. There are lots of activities in the area besides the baseball hall of fame. There is the Farmers Museum (you can spend an entire afternoon here, lots to see and do), boating and other lake activities. Glimmerglass state Park is nearby, and especially for little kids, there is large playground. You can find what to do in the area for 2-3 days without any problems.
