OK, so now that its post-Tisha b’Av in EY, I’d like to revive this thread.
Can any of our EY members fill me in on the way the stabbing was dealt with, from a Kinos / Speeches / Machsom / that sort of thing perspective?
Unless otherwise stated, I’m inclined to say that the reaction was muted. At least that’s the attention it got here in the USA (when reading the local papers on the reporting from EY doings).
So? Can anyone tell me if there was as massive an outpouring for the loss of R’ Abuchatzeira as there was for Leiby Kletzki?
PLease note: I’m not trying to suggest that the Kletzki reaction was unwaranted. But I think R’ Abuchatzeira deserved at least that much, if not more.
Anyone have any info?
