@PBA – i always bring something to my in laws or parents to show my gratitude. Even though parents and in laws want you to come and shep lotsa nachas and look at it as special to have you (at least mine do) I feel that its alot of work to invite a whole family for a shabbos. usually i bake a desert or make a kugel or i give an updated picture in a frame.
