This discussion makes no sense.
It seems to me, that one side is discussing whether the deal was wise move. In that discussion, the gemara of “ein podin…” would be relevant, and blind bitachon would not.
The other side is discussing how we should feel now. Blind bitachon is appropriate. /thread.
Also, I don’t want to talk about this. It is too personal. I can’t sit and say they should have let this poor kid rot, and I can’t say we should let these terrorists out.
I am just happy he is coming home, and scared about the price. And I have no opinion on the wisdom.
