Regardless, let it be known, I’m no SERIOUS talmid of his or of anyone. A cursory glance at my threads can reveal that.

That being said (as someone used to repeat over and over), we sure do thank HaShem for all our seemingly successes, as in the case with bread (He actually said it regarding bread). However, the brocha ‘shelo asani..’ does not refer to any accomplishments or advances a person makes, just one’s own initial being. That is my humble opinion. If the Rabbis here choose to disagree, I submit full-heartily.
