I disagree on the Hospital issues. Hospitals keep patients as long as their insurance coverage will allow. Every patient and every coverage is different. Every hospital is forced to conform to what the insurance plan will pay for. It is NOT the choice of the hospital. The hospital will do everything in its power to make sure the patient can stay as long as they need to. If the beds are not filled the hospital does NOT make money. It is in their best interest to keep the beds filled. However, if they will not get paid by the insurance companies, they have no choice but to send the patients they can’t fight for, home.
