Point or no point, would there be this much torah and as many gedolei torah in EY had it not become a jewish state? Would we be able to visit the kossel? There are many incredible things about this state from the jewish perspective. Can we say that the Israeli Government acts according to the exact way the torah wants it to be run, of course not, but at least we have the place “yerushalyim” where we can visit and get uplifted, to me that overrides the lack of a perfect halachakly run Government. We dont have to be Zionists to enjoy EY.
