I remember a woman I went to school with who told me about the birth of her youngest child. She had had several children prior. She never had any complications with any pregnancy or childbirth. The pregnancy with the youngest was also quite uneventful. She was as low-risk as a person could be.
There was a complication at birth. I don’t remember what the complication was, however, had she not been in a hospital she wouldn’t have made it there in time. Both she and the baby would have died.
Better to be safe than sorry.
