When I was working in the Gas Emergency department, I was constantly in people’s homes.
There was one home that was really creepy from the outside – ivy all over the place, totally overgrown – it looked haunted. He had broken eggs in a bunch of places, large fake spiders and even a large hand with an improper gesture. It was totally wierd. The inside (main floor and upper levels) was very nice. The man told me he did that because he was away on business a lot and wanted to discourage robbers.
Now his basement on the other hand was totally creepy.
