Anyone else read that yated article about this a couple weeks back?
Apparently, the more common way infants contract herpes is from family members. In one of the infamous cases, the baby’s older toddler brother had open herpes sores, and had sucked the baby’s pacifier and put it back in before anyone could stop him. The mother had tried to tell this to the investigators, but they were only interested in talking about milah.
You can confirm this by googling “infant herpes simplex” and see that it is normally spread to infants through casual skin to skin contact from a carrier who has an active lesion.
