Yes. It doesn’t mean that they can’t each hold differently. The whole shita of Chassidus & Tznius is based off a Machlokes Amoraim (and maybe even Tannaim IIRC) regarding the floorplan of the Bais Hamikdash. Just because it is old doesn’t mean we can’t still argue about it.
