Reply To: Why Isn't There a Megillah for Chanuka?

The simple answer to your question is that the story of Chanukah took place after the time of the Anshei Knesses Hagedolah, who sealed the Tanach. Therefore, any books that were written, could not be included in Tanach and did not gain the status as a Sefer Kodesh. So, alothough there is a a Megilas Antiyoches, it does not have the status of our five migilos hakdoshos.
