Just to caste some light upon yechusdik’s Query regarding the Chief Rabbi’s attendance of a royal wedding…..it has long been the position of the office of the Chief Rabbi to attend functions when invited to do so by the Sovereign …such invites are worded “by Royal Command ….” this has been the case historically and all past Chief Rabbi’s have done so.
