If you’re planning to live in Lakewood, don’t bother with either special ed or literacy. You may be able to find a job, but you will not make money. I have a bachelor’s in special ed and a master’s in reading and it got me nowhere. I have a job but the pay is very little, (especially compared to what I got paid in Brooklyn.) In Brooklyn there are job opportunities for more money, in Lakewood you will work just as hard and receive half the pay.
I have gone back to school for a master’s in a totally different area and I did my research. There is a need for it in Lakewood. I can’t tell you what to do with your life, however, I strongly advise you to do extensive research before spending your time and money on any college.
