You guys are neglecting the health issue mentioned. Once someone cheats with one thing, i.e. the type of meat, it is likely that they cheated some more and these horses were fed/medicated with stuff not allowed if raised for human consumption.
Also, some people may have not liked the meat so much and maybe even didn’t buy it again, but it would take a greater expert or someone familiar with horse meat to realize they’ve been conned.
