Given that not even that answer seem to you it will convince her, I do not think you should answer because I do not think you can provide her with a satisfactory answer (an answer she will find satisfactory). If she is bothered, we are entitled to have feelings (are we not all bothered, say, by innocent suffering? personally, that bothers me much more than hearing shelo asani eisha).
