I once heard a top speaker, who’s been speaking publicly for years, he once commented that his worst speeches are the ones he wasnt nervous for. I think it’s something to do with the nerves creating adrenaline and once you’re on stage and you begin talking, the words begin to flow and the nerves will transform into confidence and you’ll do great.
I’ve spoken publicly a couple of times and yes i was so nervous i couldnt eat for hours beforehand but i know that once i actually start talking the nerves usualy start to go. I dont think the nerves are such a bad thing.
