Any quote of the Chofetz Chaim against Zionism is really a bad example as he died in 1933 before 1948. Before the Holocaust many Gedolim were against Zionism in its form at that time, they changed their mind after the Holocaust.
One cannot guess what the Chofetz Chaim would have said after the Holocaust and Eastern European Jewery was destroyed and had to move elsewhere.
