writersoul, you’ve said what I said in diferent words. One may pick and choose which psak he feels comfortable with. If a gadol says s/t and I like it, I do what he said even if I don’t do anything else from him. In other words, I’m as good and as smart as great Torah giants, and I decide when they are makin sense, and when they’re being over the top.

Besides, can you (or most yeshivish/charedi) young men even know the name of /gedolim that they are supposedly going acording to?
