I work for a pediatrician. The vaccine is only 80% effective, which means you can still catch the disease regardless. If everyone was immune, the disease would be weakened but unfortanately that is not the case. Most of the cases that occurred recently were in unvaccinated children under one who could not get the shot being that the first shot is at 12 months. So if you don’t want to vaccinate just be aware that you are putting other people in danger- either those who are too young to get the vaccine, or some people that their bodies have a low immunity even though they had the shot. There are also some people that due to medical conditions cannot receive live vaacines. There was also a miscarriage that occured from this outbreak. You are putting other people at risk.
