The problem is that parents give kids enough money to buy cigs. They are $10 a pack now. A serious smoker needs at least $50-$60 a week to feed his habit. Even a casual smoker will need about $30. This is all extra spending money that the parents are giving the kids. There are so many stupid Frum parents out there. It may sound harsh but I think many parents do what’s called stupid chinuch. They enable their children to do everything wrong (spoil them with money and electronics) and then wonder why their kids don’t turn out that well. Hmm. Maybe don’t spoil them rotten?!
