Rav Moshe supposedly also tucked his in as well as all of the Lithuanian Roshei Yeshiva. I remember seeing once in Mishneh Halachos bsheim Rav gustman Bshaim Reb Chaim Ozer a whole new pshat in the Mishna berura but lmaaseh it doesn’t shtim so good inside. Also I once found on otzar hachochma a kuntress devoted to this topic and explains all the achonim and the mb (although I am not sure I am maskim).
