I’m back with the question again! Senator Chuck Schumer said “I want to tell you Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.” Mayor Lori Lightfoot tweeted “To my friends… The Supreme Court is coming for us next. This moment has to be a call to arms.” Well, look what happened today. A gunman was arrested and charged with attempted murder for trying to kill a Supreme Court Justice. While I don’t believe they directly incited him, their rhetoric was definitely harmful. On the day the 1/6 hearings start we should remember that all politicians use fiery language and shouldn’t necessarily be held accountable for their supporters actions.

I think this was kind of a set up where they send some guy to “threaten” someone else and there is no real threat

Im not understanding. are you saying this guy was just a set up? He bought weapons special for this purpose.
This guy had obvious mental health issues but fortunately did not act on his impulses, unlike some of the recent shooters. His social media posts indicated he was searching for some action that would “give his life some meaning”. Doesn’t sound like too much of a hard core radical but should never have been allowed to purchase these weapons.

I’m just basing my opinion on what I heard, maybe I don’t know all the facts but why wouldn’t he run away instead of turn himself in
It doesn’t make sense (to me)
1) Thoughts and Prayers.
2) Can’t he and his family just carry around AR-15’s ? According to the NRA , they are very effective in preventing violence.
3) Schumer said this over 2 years ago.
4) Federal investigators allege that Roske traveled to Montgomery County from California with a mission: He wanted to kill a specific Supreme Court justice, one he thought would join opinions that would ease restrictions on guns, according to the affidavit.The Schumer tape’s being ignored by all the left wing media as well as the justice department is one of the biggest proofs the to right wing’s philosophy that the entire system is stacked against us. How saying that it is two years old is some kind of defense absolutely boggles the mind.
President Trump retweeted a video in which a supporter says, “The only good Democrat is a dead Democrat.”
He followed this up by referring to riots in Minneapolis and saying, “When the looting starts, the shooting starts.”

A nutcase on EITHER side of the political spectrum should never be able to purchase a gun. Individuals recently committed for psychiatric care and/or on medication for serious mental health issues, someone posting threats of violence on social media, individuals with prior criminal records as a juvenile etc. are NOT flagged under our current system of background checks and Republicans are totally opposed to expanding the system as a form of unconstitutional “prior restraint”. I couldn’t care whether its Proud Boys, BLM or Troglodytes for Trump, they should never be allowed to access a gun. YUes, they could still commit horrific crimes with other weapons but more difficult
I think one point democrats and the pro gun control crowd is missing, it’s very hard to tell someone you can’t buy a gun because you said something dumb on social media.
There’s no clear lines, they would constantly be getting sued and be called racist when any guy gets mad for not getting a gun.
This isn’t a clear rational logical answer to mass shootings, but rather an emotional nonsensical blame game to make republicans and gun owners look bad.
There are actually many good ideas to protect people and common sense gun laws, just not ones that Democrats are putting forward.what shyachus schumer’s line to trump’s lines?
