a person wakes up in the morning and prepares his daily coffee. he puts in the bitter coffee and the sweet sugar; the hot water and the cold milk (not in that order). It is a cup full of contrasts. Then he says “Hashem, I don’t know how my day is going to be – bitter, sweet, hot, or cold. But one thing I know – Shehakol nihiya bed’varo – that everything happens by your word“
beautiful message. one tiny edit: your girsa should be nihiyeh (everything continues and will continue to be) as opposed to nihiyah (everything came to be).
Nice. I think I will start putting in more sugar then coffee, and more milk than hot water.
In that order.

Cute! I read this in Yated recently, is that where you saw it?
