I was sitting in my dining room hole punching a dollar.
Mom walked in and said: you’re wasting a dollar
Dad said: no she is not wasting. Shes spending a dollar on something she enjoys doing.A few food for thought:
# 1: the obvious question:who is right mom or dad?
#2: should mothers be getting so involved in every small detail of a child’s life? In my opinion this is the catalyst as to why kids go off the derech. Parents need to choose their battles.
#3: talking of hole punchers, im looking to buy one- where can I get a cheap yet powerful hole puncher?
#4: anyone has ideas of other productive things to do, like hole punching a dollar, that cost less than a dollarNovember 16, 2017 4:02 pm at 4:02 pm #1404972Pros and ConsParticipantThis all depends if there was a nearby garbage can in which to put the hole punches. Because as we know with garbage cans, it’s location, location, location.

2. Commenting on the actions of a child is not too much involvement. There is such a thing as a mother being overly involved, but that would likely cause obvious friction.
3. That depends whether you want a one hole punch or a three hole punch, but it’s probably best to go to a store such as Staples and invest in one that looks like it’s durable.
4. Hole punch monopoly dollars. Make bracelets from disposable plastic shopping bags. Make a bird feeder out of an empty milk carton. -
