Should Rabbanim make another asifa for major issues such as child abuse, shidduchim (which really starts from Lashon Hara) etc?
Everybody who attended the Asifa knows about the dangers of the Internet. Make people aware of problems we face daily with possible solutions besides this one.
The truth is, if they make one, there will be less attendees because they lost it by this Asifa, since the Rabbonim didn’t give solutions & practical advice at all (except a little from R’Waxman). The main solution for many of the issues we deal with today is what R’Waxman said: “Sur Mara is done trhough Asei Tov”! By focusing on the good things to do (torah, chinuch, chesed etc) then we won’t feel the need to come to other distractions!
May we all keep our kabalos we made in our hearts strong & Hashem should have rachmanos on his Am Kodesh which showed its great love for kedusha & may be be zoche to the final return to “Hashem’s table” (look in Ohr Hachaim P’Behar 25:25-28)!
