I was just talking about this with my aunt last night. My mother A’H passed away a little less than a month after my 4th birthday. When I came home from school one of the days of shiva, I told my mother’s cousin the which pre-school class I was in: “I’m a zeeskeit” I said. She replied “You most certainly are”. When My grandmother A’H passed away last year, my mother’s cousin came to pay a shiva visit and she told this story. My aunt who was sitting near by and did not hear clearly asked in surprise:”Why would he call himself a Meeskeit?”
