Do you remember the warm and fuzzy feeling you had when those poor oppressed people began their fight for democracy ?

Not at all. All normal, thinking, or at least informed, people knew that it wasn’t about that and it would never led to that. They have a different mentality and the western mind just can’t wrap around that. The US sent a message to its allies not to trust us.

During the presidential debate on foreign policy, Romney agreed fully to Obama’s view. At that point I didn’t care who won the election.

To the Goq, re your first and second posts: If you have to explain when you are being sarcastic, you are not communicating effectively. And you should, of course, never say “of course,” because if it were so obvious, of course it would not be necessary to say it.

whatever the motivation, this is very good for Klal Yisroel, as the Ribbono shel Olam runs the show. they are busy butchering each other & leaving us alone.

As Rav Hutner z’tl said when told about the Iran-Iraq war, “zol zei beder matzliach zein!”

“And you should, of course, never say ‘of course,’ because if it were so obvious, of course it would not be necessary to say it.”

Same goes for “needless to say”. If it’s needless to say, then why are you saying it??? MAJOR pet peeve.
